Our Programs
Emergency Assistance
The Foundation will provide emergency assistance funds for families who must leave their homes to be near loved ones while they are hospitalized. These funds would pay for such items as hotel, transportation and food costs. These funds will also pay for other quality of life concerns during times of crisis.
Insurance Assistance
The Foundation will provide assistance funds for families who would otherwise lose health insurance due to employment changes or other events. The fund helps qualified families with co-pay payments, COBRA payments or insurance premiums.
Nutritional Assistance
The Foundation will provide nutritional assistance funds for persons with Cystic Fibrosis. The ability to gain and maintain weight is a challenge to cystic fibrosis patients. Many must purchase special nutritional supplements and enzymes to achieve this goal. These supplements are often not covered by insurance.
Education
Due to cross infection issues, CF patients cannot attend support groups or educational sessions. Therefore, the Reaching Out Foundation, Inc. produces a quarterly newsletter to keep the patients abreast of research and current events relating to Cystic Fibrosis.
